Professor Niall Moyna

Professor in the School of Health and Human Performance, DCU.

Niall is a Professor in the School of Health and Human Performance and a member of the Centre for Preventive Medicine in Dublin City University.

He received his Master’s degree from Purdue University, Indiana, PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, and completed a three year National Institute of Health Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre.

Niall has published over 100 research papers in international peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at international conferences and is a well-known for his TV appearance on such programmes as Operation Transformation and Doctors in the House.

Niall is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and has a keen interest in all sports, especially Gaelic football and athletics. Niall has been an ambassador to the Irish Life Team for over 7 years.

Dr Sarah Kelly

Senior lecturer in the School of Health and Human Performance in DCU.

Dr Sarah Kelly is a lecturer in the School of Health and Human Performance in DCU. Sarah completed her PhD in Clinical Exercise Physiology in Dublin City University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Science and a Masters in Exercise Physiology from Dublin City University.

Sarah has provided sports science support throughout the county in various roles. The list of those she has helped is long and includes: Monaghan Senior County Football team; Irish Senior International Compromise Rules team; DCU Athletics and Sigerson team; Dublin Senior Football team; a number of Superleague basketball teams; and the GAA National Intercounty Referees. Sarah was also a sports contributor on Two Tube, a primetime strand broadcast on RTE 2.

Sarah’s research interests have focused on both sports performance and exercise/health-related issues. A major focus of her research has involved the role of exercise in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Sarah has many achievements in her own sporting career, including winning a number of basketball titles.

An accomplished tri-athlete, Mark completed his first Iron Man triathlon in 2014 and qualified for the World Championships that same year. Following on from this Mark has taken 20 plus clients through their first triathlons.

Sarah Keogh

Consultant Dietician

Sarah is the founder of Eatwell and has over 20 years’ experience working in nutrition and dietetics. Sarah has a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from Trinity College, Dublin and a Masters in European Food Regulation.

Sarah works with food companies on food legislation and product development as well as delivering workplace wellness sessions and nutrition courses. Sarah is an outstanding speaker on nutrition whether she is delivering a nutrition session or speaking on radio & television. Emma Buckley

Director of Nutrition, Gourmet Fuel

Emma is a registered Nutritionist (B.Sc) from Dublin, Ireland and the Director of Nutrition and co-founder of GourmetFuel. She has developed an entire range of health foods to compliment healthy living and performance. Emma is a UCD graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry and Graduate Certificate and Higher Diploma in Diet and Nutrition.

In two decades as a consultant nutritionist she has worked with some of Ireland’s most well-known food and health brands. She is an international keynote conference speaker on nutrition and health and has worked closely with professional and Olympic athletes and coaches covering track, field and combat sports at the highest levels. Her knowledge of how the food works in the body helps her design the healthiest meals and meal plans possible. Emma is also a UKVRN Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition specialising in food.
