MyLife Workplace Fitness Challenge 2024

COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Promoter: The promoter of the Challenge is Irish Life Financial Services Limited (“ILFS”) which is a company registered in Ireland whose registered office is at Irish Life Centre, Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1 (the “Promoter”). 

Eligibility Criteria: The Challenge is open to (i) all companies with twenty (20) or more staff, registered on the island of Ireland (“Eligible Company/ies”).  and (ii) employees of Eligible Companies who are residents on the island of Ireland (“Eligible Employees”) All employees or agents of the Promoters and their families are excluded from entering the Challenge.

How to Enter:
Eligible Companies: Eligible Companies may enter the Challenge by completing and submitting the application which is available at https://mylife.irishlife.ie/wfc-2024/early-registration (the “Entry Form”) and accepting these Terms and Conditions.  Eligible Companies must submit their completed Entry Form by no later than 11:59pm on Saturday, 20th April 2024 (the “Entry Closing Date”) in order to participate in the Challenge.

Eligible Companies who have entered the Challenge will be deemed “Participating Companies” for the purposes of the Challenge. Only fully completed entries that are made in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be eligible to take part in this Challenge.  The Promoters accept no responsibility should companies be unable to enter the Challenge for any reason.  Only one entry per Eligible Company will be accepted.  The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any entrant for any reason whatsoever in its sole discretion.  The Promoters do not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage, cost expense or liability suffered or incurred by any person, entrant or otherwise, arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this promotion.

Eligible Employees:  Eligible Employees who are taking part in the Challenge (“Participating Employees”) must download the MyLife App (“the App”) which is available to download via Google Play and the App Store and accept the Terms of Use of the App. Participating Employees must also accept the Challenge Terms and Conditions which are available within the App and identify themselves as an employee of their respective Eligible Company by entering their unique corporate code within the App in order to participate in the Challenge on behalf of their respective Eligible Company.

The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Participating Employee for any reason whatsoever at its sole discretion and any Participating Employee found to be in breach of the App Terms of Use or the Challenge Terms and Conditions will be disqualified automatically. If a Participating Employee is disqualified for any reason whatsoever, the related Eligible Company shall also be automatically disqualified and will not be eligible to claim any prize.

Closing Date:  The Challenge will run from Friday, 26th April 2024 at 00.01 (“Opening Date”) until 23.59 on Thursday, 16th May 2024(“Closing Date”) inclusive (the “Challenge Period”).  The Promoter reserves the right to alter the Opening Date and the Closing Date.  The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any delay or failure in the submission of entries or for any entry which is not received on or before the Entry Closing Date for any reason, including for technical reasons. Only entries received in accordance with Clause 3 above will be accepted, entries received by any other means including post, email, fax or hand delivery will not be accepted.  Proof of submitting an entry is not proof that the entry has been received by the Promoter.

Terms of Participation: All entrants to the Challenge are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions by participating in the Challenge.

The Prizes:

Participating Companies:  There will be four prizes available for four Participating Companies of the Challenge (“Company Challenge Winners”). The prizes for each of the Company Challenge Winners is a Wellbeing Masterclass Package delivered by Irish Life Wellbeing, which will consist of an initial discovery meeting followed by two online masterclasses (duration 45 minutes per session) delivered to staff of Company Challenge Winners on a date to be arranged between the Promoter and each Company Challenge Winner (the “Prize”). 

By claiming a Prize, the Company Challenge Winners grant the Promoter the right to use and publish their company name and picture in such media as the Promoter may choose (including but not limited to their social media pages) for advertising and promotional purposes, without payment. The company name of the Company Challenge Winners may be displayed on the Promoter’s social media accounts for a reasonable period of time after the Company Challenge Winners have been selected.  The Promoter shall not be responsible or liable for any matter arising out of or resulting from the Challenge or the enjoyment of the Prize. The Prize is non-transferrable, and cash will not be offered as an alternative to the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value should the advertised Prize become unavailable for any reason.

Participating Employee:  Participating Employees of a Participating Companies who record 200,000 steps or more on the App during the Challenge Period will be included in a draw to win a €1,000 voucher for Adare Manor, Limerick. The Participating Employee Challenge Winner (the “Employee Challenge Winner”) will be drawn at random from all Participating Employees who recover over 200,000 steps during the Challenge Period.

The Employee Challenge Winner will be announced within seven (7) days of the end of the Challenge Period. The declaration of the Employee Challenge Winner by the Promoter is final and correspondence will not be entered into with any other party. The Employee Challenge Winner will be contacted by the Promoter using the contact details submitted in the Entry Form.

By claiming a Prize, the Employee Challenge Winner grants the Promoter the right to use and publish their name, company name and picture in such media as the Promoter may choose (including but not limited to their social media pages) for advertising and promotional purposes, without payment. The name of the Employee Challenge Winner may be displayed on the Promoter’s social media accounts for a reasonable period of time after the Company Challenge Winner has been selected.  The Promoter shall not be responsible or liable for any matter arising out of or resulting from the Challenge or the enjoyment of the Prize. The Prize is non-transferrable, and cash will not be offered as an alternative to the Prize. The Promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value should the advertised Prize become unavailable for any reason.

Selection of the Prize Winners:   Both the Company Challenge Winner and the Employee Challenge Winner will be selected at random by a draw conducted by the Promoter.  An independent observer will supervise the draw.  The draw will take place within seven (7) days of the end of the Challenge Period.  The decision of the Promoter as confirmed by the independent observer is final and correspondence will not be entered into with any person in relation to the selection of the prize winners.  The results of the Challenge on will be published in the MyLife newsletter and the prize winners will be notified by phone or email.

General:  The Promoter cannot accept responsibility for the acts or omissions of any third parties. The Promoter shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage howsoever caused, whether direct, indirect or consequential (whether in contract, tort or statutory duty or otherwise) arising out of or in connection with the Competition and/or the Prize other than death or personal injury caused by negligence of the Promoter and/or the Promoter’s respective personnel and/or deceit or fraud by the Promoter and/or the Promoter’s respective personnel.

The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, cancel, suspend, or amend the Challenge or the terms and conditions of the Challenge at any time, with no liability to any entrant, the prize winner or any third party. By accepting the Prize, the prize winners grant the Promoter the right to use and publish their name and picture in such media as the Promoter may choose (including but not limited to the Promoter’s social media accounts) for advertising and promotional purposes, without payment.
 
Governing Law & Jurisdiction: The Challenge and these terms and conditions are governed by Irish Law. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Challenge shall be dealt with exclusively by the Courts of Ireland.

Data Protection:  The Promoter respects your privacy rights. We will make use of and process the personal data you provide in connection with the Challenge to the extent and for the time necessary to administer this Challenge only and all processing will be in accordance with the Promoter’s Data Privacy Notice which you can view https://www.irishlife.ie/ilfs-privacy-notice/ and Irish-Life-Wellbeing-privacy-notice. By participating in the Challenge, you consent to the processing of your personal data in this manner.

The contact details and delivery addresses of the prize winners may be passed to a third party insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the Prize to that person.
